About the work
What is wedding creative direction?
Wedding creative direction defines what your wedding looks and feels like before any vendor starts working. We turn your inspiration into one clear visual concept, including a written vision, color palette, typography, florals, and design details. Your planner, florist, stationer, and other vendors then work from the same direction instead of making separate decisions that don't quite fit together.
What is wedding design?
Wedding design is everything that shapes how your wedding looks and feels: color, florals, stationery, tablescapes, signage, and how each space comes together. Some wedding designers also source and install the décor themselves. We focus on the design itself. We create the complete visual direction and the designs your vendors bring to life, so every element reads as one story.
How is this different from a wedding planner?
A planner manages logistics: timelines, vendors, budgets, and the day itself. We provide the creative vision those logistics serve. We don't handle planning or coordination. We define the look and feel so your planner and vendors can execute it with confidence.
Do I need creative direction if I already have a planner?
Many of our couples do. Planners are experts at execution, and a clear creative direction makes their job easier. It works especially well if you have more inspiration than you know what to do with, or if your wedding needs to bring together different cultures, spaces, or traditions as one cohesive story.
What do I actually receive?
Depending on your package, deliverables include a written design concept, a visual moodboard, a curated color palette, typography recommendations, floral recommendations, custom illustrations, ceremony and tablescape designs, and a personalized design booklet you can share with every vendor. Our most comprehensive package also includes print-ready day-of designs, like welcome signs and table numbers.

Booking and timing
When should I book?
Once your venue is booked. It's the one decision we need in place, because the space shapes everything else. Most couples start working with us 4-12 months before their wedding. We take a limited number of projects each month, and bookings are first come, first served.
Do I need to have everything figured out before we start?
No. Most couples come to us with a lot of inspiration and no clear direction. Turning that into a cohesive vision is exactly what we do.
How long does the process take?
Our most popular package (the vision) takes 4-5 weeks from project start date to completion.

Cost and scope
How much does wedding creative direction cost?
Packages start at $800. Pricing depends on how many design elements you need, from a focused design concept to full design support including ceremony mockups, tablescapes, and print-ready day-of materials.
Will this work within my budget?
Yes. Great design has less to do with budget than with a clear vision applied consistently. Our direction is built to flex across a wide range of wedding budgets, helping you focus spending on the details that matter most to you.
What if I don't love what I receive?
Every design guide includes a revision round, so we can refine the direction until it feels right. Significant changes to the creative direction after that are scoped separately.
Can I get more design support after my package?
Yes. Many couples keep working with us beyond their initial package, for things like additional stationery or day-of designs. Just ask and we'll put together what you need.

"It felt like more than a mood board — it was a wedding vision we could actually feel."
"Kimi pulled together so many different design elements into a cohesive vision we could finally visualize for our dream day. The written concept honestly brought me to tears — it was the first time our wedding started to feel real."
